Sam and Jane have both been running successful businesses over the last 30 years.  Together they have created the designer baby wear company called Dimples, which is the parent company of BabyBliss.

BabyBliss nursery furniture first came to the attention of Jane and Sam when they chose to stock the brand in their up market Dimples boutique in Newmarket, Auckland.  The opportunity came to buy the BabyBliss company when the present owners decided to make a move over to the Netherlands.

Jane and Sam grabbed the opportunity to own BabyBliss as they had fallen in love with the design and quality of the products and felt excited about growing the business through redesigning the website and teaming the nursery furniture up with bedding and accessories to provide customers with the whole package.

Since buying the company in 2006, the website has been fully redesigned to provide a better user experience.  There are more photos showing product detail and more detailed product information.

BabyBliss is a family run business and a lot of care and attention is put into customer services and the creation and processing of all of the products we offer.

Made in New Zealand - Our key aim at Baby Bliss is to bring you high quality products, handcrafted from native New Zealand Beech wood.  Our products are safe, stylish and comfortable for your baby.  We use Beech wood which is harvested in the South Island and it is processed in Christchurch.  The parts are then transported to Auckland where they are hand sanded, stained and put together into the kits.  They are wrapped in bubble wrap for maximum protection and are shipped in sturdy boxes so you are guaranteed no damage will occur while being shipped.

Testimonials:

 Emma Giboney, Auckland;
 "I absolutely loved using my Babybliss bassinet.  I was very pleased that I got great use out of it as my baby slept in it until 8 months of age.  I can’t wait to use it again for another baby."

 Victoria Bailey, Auckland;

"I purchased two canopy bassinets for my twin babies and wanted to express how well the babies slept in them.  They are spacious and comfortable and the babies just seemed to be very settled with these bassinets.  Thanks Babybliss for getting me through with babies that were happy to sleep."

Merino Wool Information

What is Merino - Merino is a breed of sheep famous for its fine soft wool. New Zealand merino products are world renowned for luxury, quality and performance. These attributes are not added through manufacturing but come from merino wools natural characteristics, which are influenced by the way merino sheep are raised in some of New Zealands toughest but most beautiful farmland.

Long Lasting - New Zealand merino fibre is long and strong which provides durability and remains smooth and soft, and is less likely to pill. Merino fibre, like human hair is largely made up of keratin which is a natural, resilient protein.  Merino wool is a renewable and natural product.

Fire Safety -   Merino wool has a complex structure that allows it to absorb 30% of its weight in water. A small amount of heat is generated when water is absorbed and this prevents chilling in wet and cold conditions. Merino wool is naturally flame retardant, is self extinguishing and does not melt like synthetic fibres.

Softness/Comfort - Prickle and itch associated with traditional wool is the result of coarse fibres pushing into the skin which irritates nerve endings close to the skins surface - this does not occur with high quality merino as the fine fibres simply bend when pressed into the skin.
